I had honestly forgotten that Björk was in this and screamed like a nerd watching a marvel cameo when she appeared.
I’ve often complained about the overused trope in Christmas movies where a main character or antagonist is transformed by the magic of the holidays, embracing emotional traditions and ultimately changing for the better. The Holdovers treads familiar ground with Paul Giamatti’s journey, but it’s executed so differently and effectively that I couldn’t help but enjoy it.
I’ve been looking forward to this film since its release in my country almost a year ago, but I deliberately waited to watch…
Who dares to call this beautiful piece of art "trash"? Over my dead body bitch.
*hysterical screaming* NEEEELY O'HARAAAA!!!
I might as well tag this under the genre 'horror'. Aging is literally the worst fear I have and seeing Bette Davis go from young beauty to old woman was so painful, almost as if I was the character myself. Only difference is I'm already ugly but anyway.
Shout out to Claude Rains for portraying a sweet, yet poor ~in the least monetary sense of the word~ man. He deserves a hug and a loving, humble wife.
