Just read the book and decided to give it a rewatch to see how it stacks up again.
- The book series is so rich in messianic lore and a type of individual internal monologue that varies based on the character. In terms of lore, we simply don’t have time to unpack it in its fullness in film format. It would be impossible to explain the thoughts and feelings of the characters in the way that the book does.

I mean I was locked in for 3 hours straight. Lots of moving pieces and foreign accents in play! Prolly need another viewing. Here’s what I liked:
- Absolutely perfect score that had me shifting in my seat in anticipation.
- Yeah sure the dialogue was compelling but our top performers here (namely Murphy) said so much with their eyes and pauses!
- The gravity of Oppenheimer’s moral dilemma hits you like a few thousand tons of TNT to the chest. UNREAL scene to close out the second act.
