The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974
It’s almost unbelievable that I have never seen this before now. The cinematography is basically unmatched 50 years later, in any horror film I have ever seen. The pacing and dialogue are of it’s time, but it holds up incredibly well. Wow.

This is my favorite movie franchise so it is hard to judge this fairly.
Certain elements feel like fun fan service, and there are a lot of little details that people who are really into this will notice (that the casual viewer won’t.)
In the same vein, quite a bit of it feels so unbelievably derivative. Multiple set pieces and lines of dialogue.
