Iron Man 2008
Honestly had a blast with this one. I love how kinetic and immersive each action scene feels. The camera work and careful blend of CGI/practical effects make for something that truly does feel like “movie magic”. I miss when filmmakers cared about having a direction to follow and sticking with it so it feels refreshing to experience a major action film that delivers on that front.

A pretty decent 1-for-1 remake of the first six episodes of the show. I’m not the biggest fan of removing the hazy quality that the show used to have but I also understand that it is a modern update to the franchise’s look. My feelings for this movie are at 3 stars but for some reason I can’t bring myself to lower it down from 3 1/2. I’m just weird like that idk.
