Pros:
-The performances, especially from Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, and Carl Lumbly. The first two especially bounce off of each other really well.
—Alongside this, Cap and Ross’s arcs in the film, with Sam still struggling with those doubts about being Cap and the struggle of needing to prove himself, and Ross trying to be a good president so that he can be a better father for Betty. On top of that, their characterizations were great, too.

such an unorthodox way to do an alien invasion film, but I love it.
loved how m. night manages to make the audience feel the presence of the alien threat, yet you never actually see them that much. it feels like blair witch project in that way, which I really love.
also, loved the themes of family, faith, belief and unbelief, even in the face of clear evidence of something going on. the twist ties into those themes really well…
