This movie is a beautifully cultural film, told through the daughter’s perspective, which brilliantly captures the essence of its true meaning. Once again, I have to say—I LOVE Adam Sandler. He’s always a welcome presence, but the real star here is Paz Vega as Flor Morena, our TRUE main character.
A must-watch for children of immigrants, and a beautiful take on the Hispanic experience and the perspectives of the white people they interact with.

This movie was actually hilarious—like, genuinely funny. And the sweet moments? SO sweet. The sad moments? DEVASTATING. By the end, I was full-on ugly crying. I vaguely remember watching it as a kid, but revisiting it now, with all the life experience I’ve gained at 22 years young, just hit different. Adam Sandler NEVER lets me down. I love that man.
A must-watch for #real yearners.
A pretty good movie with a fascinating take on age and the obsession with the fountain of youth, especially in fields like entertainment, where appearance holds so much weight. While it’s not a personal favorite of mine—it leans a bit on the silly side—it’s still a very intriguing watch. Definitely a great choice for a movie night with your girls!

“Scarface” is one of my favorite crime films, especially with its focus on a villain as the main character. The way Tony’s gradual loss of humanity to greed is portrayed is absolutely masterful. My favorite line, hands down, has to be: ‘Well, it’s the last time you’ll see a bad guy do it like me’ (or something close to that).
