An incredibly boring and uninspired copy of his past work Walk Up (2017). This film has the quality and lighting of a 13-year-old’s first YouTube video. Perhaps the director thought it was "artistic" to shoot the movie with my old 2013 digital Fujifilm camera, but I found it cheap as hell.

This, to me, was the pinnacle of independent cinema—creativity with no limits, with dozens of opposing concepts brought together beautifully. Whether you like the story or not, from a filmmaking perspective, this film is a mind-blowing experience of colours, music, camera effects... From a queer perspective, it’s a new icon. 🏳️🌈
I think the fact that the story is nothing new only accentuates how amazing everything else is, from the mind-blowing camera frames to the consistent and carefully crafted colour theory that perfectly complements the vibe and intensity throughout the entire film. Regardless of whether you like the plot or not, this film is pure ecstasy for the eyes.
