    A very frustrating film that only gets worse the more you think about it.

    Almost no attempt to actually explore its own themes, characters we’re supposed to care about with like 1 or 2 speaking lines, flat performances from almost everyone, poor pacing that builds tension up to a dud of a third act, derivative ideas about religion and cult, and a lame final exposition dump to top it all off.

    Finally got around to this and I’ve found myself a little surprised with the discourse and polarizing nature of this movie. I guess it’s kind of poetic that the movie about a Civil War with no clear reason for conflict created such opposing viewpoints with no specific reasons for debate. I can see viewpoints on both sides; although, I wouldn’t call myself neutral in this war.
