nicolas cage and laura dern are incredibly tuned into their characters and without them i dont know how far into the movie I would have gotten.
willem dafoe is a treat as always and takes over any scene he's in.

my favorite scene is *spoiler territory here!* when the couple pull over after seeing a car has wrecked. the woman, Sherilyn Fenn, talking about anything but the crash was haunting.

As a fan of Cabin in the Woods and Cloverfield I wanted to finally check this out.
Didn't know anything about the plot so watching it unfold was a lot of fun. Takes a bit to get going but worth a watch. I never knew what was gonna happen next.
Really enjoyed Cynthia Erivo, Miles Miller and Jon Hamm as Darlene, Miles and Laramie.

tom holland and Ciara Bravo's performances in this movie are worth the watch alone. Jack Reynor, while a smaller supporting role, had my full attention when appearing on screen. good presence.
i enjoyed the movie overall but feel it could have been trimmed down some. the first 30 minutes are my favorite part but im a sucker for two people falling in love.
hoping we see tom branch out more like this in the future.

the music really carries the movie. visually interesting but overall felt pretty weak in story or conjuring up much excitement from me.
i give it a 1.5 because i would never want to view this movie again but it does have its moments.
