"There’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for."

    [Extended cut]

The grand finale of the trilogy, and undoubtedly an epic conclusion. The pacing is better than in The Two Towers, and Jackson delivers the spectacle expected for such a climax. It’s visually breathtaking, emotionally charged, and massive in scale.

That said, there are still inconsistencies. Gandalf in God Mode is great to watch, but Legolas' feats become borderline absurd. And then there’s Sam, his bravery…

    Pulp Fiction

There are quite a few films that we think need to be put into the context of their time to understand what they brought to cinema in general, in order to rate them objectively. For Pulp Fiction, many claim that the film was bold for its time and innovative in many ways...

However, I didn't need to consider that to appreciate this film. Watching it in 2024, it was just excellent: deep and colorful characters, Tarantino's signature direction, a good plot with thrilling events, the myth of the gangster thoroughly demystified (deeply demystified, if you know what I mean), and delicious, thought-provoking dialogues... in short, excellent.
