The Shining 1980
One of my favourite, not just horror but movies of all time.
I really enjoyed how Stanley Kubrick framed Jack's desent into sheer and utter madness, how claustrophobic yet agoraphobia the overlook hotel is, it's a paradox yet it makes sense for this film's feeling, I really loved the droning score by Wendy Carlos, it helps add to the inescapable isolation and psychotic breakdowns that our characters must dredge through.

It's a real tragedy that this movie doesn't get more love, this is mostly the blame of Shrek the third that tainted the franchise.

The Iron Giant 1999
I can't recall the exact year that I had first watched this movie, I was around 8-10 at the time but even then I knew this movie was something special, it's phenomenal on every level, from it's beautiful animation to it's amazing score, this movie had taught me one of the most valuable lessons I had ever learned in my life, you are who you chose to be.
Also Kent Mansley rocks, we love Kent Mansley.
