Captain America: Brave New World 2025
If you wanted to see Thaddeus Ross' character development, this is the movie for you.
Character development for Captain America? Yeah, not so much.
It's not a bad film. It seems to keep up the trend of this MCU phase in which loose ends from previous stories - even very old previous stories - are getting tied up. It does not suffer from trying to do too much. Some might argue it suffers from the opposite.
I've heard "aggressively mid" said about it, and that seems about right.

A Complete Unknown 2024
Definitely based on a book specifically focused on Bob Dylan's career development culminating in his transition to electric guitar and how well that didn't go over at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
Incredibly and impeccably acted. Everyone did their roles well, but Timothee in particular. He became Dylan. The relationship with Sylvie was so well presented one could see exactly the predicament each found themselves in. The tempestuous relationship with Baez came across spectacularly. Norton did well with Seeger in his more paternal role. Johnny Cash was played painfully well.
Great playing with light and darkness. Music was fantastic. Exceptional film.
