This is such a timeless movie and remains my favorite 007 film to date. It does almost everything perfectly, and there's never a dull moment throughout. It's a great soft reboot for the franchise, a great introduction to Craig's more faithful portrayal of Ian Fleming's cold and ruthless Bond, and features a great Bond girl in Eva Green (albeit their relationship towards the end feels pretty rushed). Every single action setpiece in this movie is thrilling, and the poker action I also find equally thrilling. Also a really great antagonist in Mads Mikkelsen, but I kind of wish we could have seen more of his character.

Finally got this one off my blindspot watchlist and found it very entertaining! It's such a brilliant example of how to do subtle satire, that I honestly didn't pick up on it being a fascist war propaganda commentary until after reading more about the movie haha. Can totally see how this went over people's heads when it came out. The cast is also very likeable, and the action is great even though the effects looked kind of dated at times. Glad I bought this on 4K bluray because the transfer is actually pretty stunning, as is the Dolby Atmos track.

McAvoy kills it as usual and was really terrifying in this. It's a really well paced thriller with terrific performances. It does feel a little ridiculous at times though and requires significant suspension of disbelief, particularly with stupid actions that some of the characters take lol. There's a bunch of…

Had a blast at the 45th anniversary theatrical re-release

This was my first time seeing it in a theater, since I'd only ever seen it on TV at home growing up or on bluray as I got older. The theater was packed and there were people there who clearly were seeing it for the first time (so jealous haha) so the audience reactions throughout the movie were so much fun 🙌

It's still a timeless masterpiece and still my favorite…
