Saw this in the theater when it came out. I was a huge Kubrick fan and was thrilled to be seeing a new offering, but left the theater incredibly disappointed.

Loud noises. Glistening abs. Bad writing. A running joke where a dog just keeps biting people in the testicles. And something about spicy margaritas. Watching this movie until the end is like biting into a devil dog, and on the first bite realizing it’s not a devil dog, it’s a devil dog-sized log of crap, and then continuing to eat eat it slowly for 2 hours.
I thought this would be a funny coming of age movie, but it’s actually just hallmark channel drivel… poorly drawn uninteresting people taking mushrooms, swimming and talking about their feelings for two hours.
The best character in the movie was the lake.
