Soderbergh in full slick mode. British people talking very witty and fast about spy shit — it can be hard to follow. But he keeps it breezy and alive while still putting the whole thing together in such a calculated manner. Fassbender is so comfortable in a role like this and Blanchett…well she’s Blanchett, she can’t do wrong. So many fun twists, a pin perfect supporting cast, and yeah, romantic as hell.

Bong Joon-ho has many ideas, many feelings. And he puts them all in this movie. Suffice to say it doesn’t all gel together neatly, but that does not take away from an experience that is wholly entertaining and hilarious. Every actor is committing everything to this, but Pattinson has never been better. I’ll also always be into Ruffalo hamming it up. Tom Cruise watched this and did not let PSH do any crazy stunts in MI3 out of fear that he might be outshined.

Undeniable. I still think TLJ gives the best performance in this film of incredible performances. And I have no good reason why I’m not giving this the full five stars, but I will next time. Last 25 minutes are so, so bold.

Hahahaha are you for real with this shit? The type of movie that inspires you to make movies, but also slightly makes you wanna pack it up and go home because you’ll probably never make something with as much sauce as this goddamn.

You’ll see “spectacle” as a word to describe the film more than any other and there’s good reason. What we would do for the spectacle. And spectacle is what it delivers. The screenplay doesn’t hit all its marks as well as it can, but Peele’s direction is so awesome. That final act is perfect, featuring an incredible score as well. Again, some things don’t fully form through, but it doesn’t really take away from the experience, which I believe is the ultimate objective from Peele.

Plus they literally filmed this in my city. Why wasn’t I invited?
