Roland Emmerich really knows how to deliver the slop (positive) . Visually loud and sickeningly optimistic. John Cusack and his distracting hairline carry a loose plot and a sauceless romance. Chiwetel Ejiofor is a delight to watch regardless of the script he has been given. I'd gladly watch this again someday, but it is firmly worse than most of Mr. Emmerich's disaster flicks.

This movie is devastating.
It so accurately depicts the pain I felt before transitioning and even some fears I still hold to this day.
I watched it with my partner.
They ended the movie understanding so much more of my lived experiences and it contextualized many of their own.
I find myself feeling assured in my choices in the face of an uncertian world.
Jane Schoenbrun made a masterpiece that is capable of changing lives.
