  Genuinely teared up a bit when Paddington’s home got destroyed. But I still can’t get out of my head that so many people just didn’t care about Paddington in the slightest at the start? Everybody treats him with the level of interest that someone has when seeing a rat in NYC.

  Psycho 1960

  ★★★★ Rewatched 21 Feb 2025

  Had the wonderful opportunity to watch Psycho in 16mm. The buzz of the audience whispering while film reels were being changed is a feeling I’ve never experienced before (even during long intermissions).

  As for the movie itself? 

  If ya don’t like it, you’re a PSYCHO.

  I can't really describe the dread I feel about how much worse things were in the early aughts... Only to then realize that you're still living in it. At this point dystopian fiction seems preferable to the endless ooze that has engulfed the US in the moments after Ronald Reagan drew his first breath.

  Essential viewing for all of the America haters out there.
