It’s a miracle that neither of these dudes go blind from alcohol poisoning by the end of this thing.
Need more modern B&W films. This was a trip!

Brutally moving. A story of hope and heartache that doesn’t pull any punches. Awesome soundtrack that is thoughtfully prepared and executed throughout. Overall, greater than the sum of its parts, which are all very solid on their own.
At face-value, the story sets the audience up for a fun ride in a “drug cartel action-musical-thriller with a twist.” But it missed almost every high note - especially in story and also, somehow, sonically.
In a cultural moment that needs nuance and thoughtful commentary (a la Conclave), the execution here fell flat.
In a word/phrase, possibly most insulting to a musical/social commentary: tone-deaf.

Prediction: Oscar for Costume Design? Lily Rose had some insane fits.
Absurdly fun ride, start to finish.
