  Black Sun 1964

  Black Sun is an underappreciated film. I think most of who disliked it gave too much attention to the racial question without interpreting it properly.
  Akira was in an inner turmoil when he faced a black person who was nothing of what he expected to be. His racial labels towards black people were strongly positive, but then, they turn upside down.

  Throughout the film, struggling against his own self, he gradually dissociates the individual from the collective and notices that he appreciates some black individuals, not black people as a whole.

  Affair in the Snow is an obscure and unique gem on an odd love triangle as you probably have never seen before. It depicts the discrepancy between two types of relationships: one based on physical contact and attractiveness, and the other one on emotional contact and subtle affection.

  It is interesting how these relationships are developed along the movie. It's bitter from both sides: the woman, Yuriko, is not sure about what one of them, Imai, really feels for her…
