Still one of the best entries in the genre. Since Hollywood has okayed a sequel for every thing under the sun, here’s to hoping there’ll be one for this too! 🥲
This Gen-Z Whodunnit had a great deal of potential that it never quite lived up to. Its plot twist offered a bit of redemption, though not enough to make up for an hour, thirty minutes worth of SNL parody level humor and rich “woke” Gen-Zers bickering. View at your own peril.

In many ways this film was like watching the flame on a candle burn, with moments so excruciatingly slow that one could take a quick nap, wake up and find that not much had happened. Its saving grace were the ironic ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ Easter eggs in the form of books which contributed to the story’s plot. These were Love in the Time of Cholera, Notes from Underground, Room, and a book on the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche whose idea of the Eternal Return plays a palpable role in film. Probably worth the watch once but may prove to be forgettable.
