Fun Christmas movie. Familiar family hijinks.
The first 15 min are the best. There is an office scene with Leroy Anderson’s “the typewriter” that is so good! Kate taught me it is an excellent example of rhythmic editing. Worth the watch!
Also love that the neighbors come together to “save Christmas” even though they don’t always get along or agree. Refreshing.

It’s fall, y’all! One of my favorites to watch every year. As someone who lived the “you’ve got mail” era and anticipation of getting email, this is really a fun reliving of that time. Listening to the dial up tones as you waited to get connected to your AOL account really built the wonder if there’d be any emails — and they were only personal emails at the this time for me. Plus the song we danced to as our first dance at our wedding reception plays during the credits. So lots to love here for me!
So glad I finally watched this classic film. So many cultural references in it. It’s been on my list since going on the great movie ride at Disney. I enjoyed it! This was film one in Kevin’s movie class. Homework done in timely fashion!
