The Invisible Man 2020
Moss gives a truly outstanding performance, but the real star of the show is the camerawork. It's great to see a studio horror where the technique is this strong and the scares aren't cheap. It wouldn't work half as well without Moss' absolute dedication to the role, however. Whannell continues to impress, excited to see what he does next.

Trees Down Here 2018
One has to be concerned when a film shows that it will rely heavily on the Kuleshov Effect within a minute of it beginning. However, in most films that do this, there is some substance for the viewer to digest; an allowance to make logical links between imagery or sound in the absence of plot and dialogue. Trees Down Here is a film with no substance and comes across as the home movies of a nature-lover rather than a film that has anything to say. For the whole 15 minute running time, the viewer is subjected to the facade of substance. Unfortunately, there is none.
