Raya and the Last Dragon 2021
It’s kind of like Disney creators got a dry erase board and asked the question “what are some successful animated films that we didn’t do?” How to Train Your Dragon, everyone likes dragons. Lets put dragons in it. Trolls 2, sure, that globalization themed story was a great vehicle to promote acceptance and diversity. Bam run it.
I kid, it was good. I think my kids have forced me into too many animated titles, I’ve become jaded.

Tenet 2020
It’s a really confusing film. All the characters talk in riddles and the concept’s explanation seems extremely rushed. Most of the time the characters try their best to caption what is taking place while sprinting down corridors or being launched back and forth through a barrage of James Bond worthy scenery.
For Christ sake, take a beat... or at least let the main character take a bite to eat while in one of the many dinner scenes within the film.…

Possessor 2020
Masterpiece of sci-fi/horror. Everything about this from the sound design, cinematography, acting... all fantastic. You can tell this is David Cronenberg’s son directing although some of the scenes make his father’s films seem tame. Extremely visceral experience and my new favorite of 2020. This is a must see.
