Every main character in this is absolutely insufferable, and not in any kind of interesting way. Perhaps that’s the point? Regardless, the terribly unlikable characters, combined with the meandering hangout style plot, makes the film a bit of a slog to get through. However, it did get pretty interesting in the last 20 minutes or so and managed to end with an actual worthwhile message.
