The Penguin 2024
I really liked 2022’s The Batman. I loved this show.
Everything from the acting, the well paced story, the characters, and the subtle but still noticeable easter eggs to Batman/DC lore fits together really nicely. I am really looking forward to what Matt Reeves’ Batman universe has in store.
The best part about this show is that it makes Penguin out to be a villain, like he is. He is not an anti hero. I think alot of villain-centric films/movies…

Cloverfield 2008
Cloverfield was a crazy film, it was all shot through a regular camera which made it all that unique. The movie is tense, you are always on edge and keyed into what is happening. The movie builds up through showing people at a party which is interrupted by the monster that destroys the world. Although it is fictional, you can’t help but wonder if this could ever really happen.

Lean On Me 1989
Lean on Me was a good movie to watch. It shows the evolution of a school from a crime ridden hell hole, to one with real potential. The details of social and political conflict are shown, but it would have been better to see more resistance from the students towards the principal. Although I don’t agree with some of the principals authoritarian methods, I can’t deny the results.
