I only recently got to watch this film as the second one just came out and since it was what everyone was talking about I decided it give it a try. Did not expect the after life to look so good even in the 80s. Michael Keaton and Catherine O'Hara are criminally good with their characters. Fun, entertaining has that 80s charm to it.

Definitely a slow starter for me but the shots and the overall theme explored in this thriller turning horror felt solid enough to keep me watching. Nicholas Cage doing his thing while looking almost unrecognisable was amazing and Maika Monroe cementing the fact that she can do horror effortlessly was pleasant to watch. Alicia Witt, Kiernan Shipka and Blair Underwood weeved in some great slow, suspenceful moments as a bonus. Highly recommend if you are a fan of either genre.

Loved every moment of it, from the back and forth with Carmichael and June to the special effects and acting from all the cast. The film nails that late night show atmosphere of the 80s and sprinkles in cult themes. Highly recommend if you need something different from the usual horror you get.
