I liked this film, but it fell short of treating its subjects in a new or compelling way. A missed opportunity. Still so much room to elevate the dialogue around sex workers.
The Zakharov family is completely uninteresting. Annie's character never receives the credit she deserves from the filmmaker. I enjoyed the parallels between Yegor and Annie's characters with respect to how they are used by the Zakharovs.

Bridesmaids 2011
Obviously this a classic, but I feel like the comedy is very slapstick and the protagonist is insufferable. It offers a class revenge fantasy that is as cliche and vapid as this comedy is dated. Redeemed only perhaps because the post-GFC economy really needed this and I like Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy.
Like the romantic villain of the movie is a sex positive handsome man who is very communicate about his needs and desires for ENM and leaves work…
