Continuing to introduce Taylor to these for the first time. Love laughing at the ridiculous lore/world building in the first and just waiting for the doubling/tripling down on it in the rest of the series.

My Lucky Stars 1985
Very much a mixed bag. Obviously the action set pieces are incredible, but they’re only really in the very beginning and the last 30 minutes. Got a few good laughs out of the preceding 45 minutes of goof ‘em ups, but it’s a lot of that.
Got a pretty big kick out of Poison Ivy saying she’d handle the geisha, only for the geisha to strip down to a leotard and reveal that she was fucking ripped.

Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance 1974
Promising start, then basically nothing happens for almost an hour and before finally Snowblood gets to do something at the end.
Love the vibes and the whole anti-authority/ACAB of it all, but just wish Meiko Kaji had more to do. That said, her just hovering around looking like she could kill everyone at any moment is still great.
