Watched this at BFI Flare 2023, there was a director Q&A after. If you're curious about the glass on the edge of the table, he said he likes to pull moments from his life and he'd noticed once a friend set down a glass that ended up like that. Which is mildly uncomfortable to watch and he wanted to convey the discomfort of watching two young girls choosing to hold hands in a society that may not necessarily approve.
