  Demi Moore was stunning (except when obviously not) and so good in this role. Interesting premise and the ambiguous 80s setting made it somehow more palatable. Would recommend.

  Just broke me in fucking half. I will be chewing on certain scenes from this, like Sophie dancing with/pushing away her father, for a while. A heart wrenching portrait of depression, loss, and memory.

  Is there anything better than a period piece with witches? It turns out the answer is a resounding yes—a period piece with witches that is not only gorgeously shot but asks the viewer to question the nature of life itself from several vantage points. You Won’t Be Alone is a slow-moving but beautiful examination of what it is to be human, with moments of joy, beauty, and despair. Easily one of my favorite movies of the last year.
