Having De Niro play two of its lead characters is intriguing. It peaked my curiosity when seeing the promotion.

But I was amazed with the true distinction between both characters.

Vito Genovese who is the more unhinged and outwardly talkative, contrasted with Frank Costello who passive but organized and
none aggressive. De Niro showcases why he can take on and succeed with a challenge.

Accompanied by great contrast female leads with Debra Messing and Katherine Narducci. Really great presence from…

Talk about riveting, disturbing, engaging, and underrated.

This film does what I generally like to believe great artists do to tell a shocking story, and get a reappraisal decades after its release.

Cary Grant is on full display here. The ultimate
    degree of on screen charm

Loretta Young has such grace and beauty

David Niven is a multilayered performer, who can still provide a comedic charm that gives more depth to this stiff and almost one layered character.

The movie itself is of its time, but not to be frowned upon by any means. It’s a great fantasy charm filled with utter romanticism of the holidays for love.

This takes what Disney expertly done in their classic movies, and tripled it with modern animation styles, and thematic narrative about environmental change.

This was better than Wall-E. Better than most Disney movies in the last 10 years.
