  my parents were watching this and I actually got kind of invested in it. as someone from Yorkshire I love to see proper yorkshire accents shown in films. the plot was kind of interesting? and the adult acting wasn't bad. I loved the kitchen-sink-drama vibe of it all and a lot of the dialogue made me giggle.

  the CGI is criminally bad for a 2012 movie though, I don't care if it's set in the '70s, the final "ghost battle"…

  i appreciate that this film is a commentary on social pressures put on children at school to grow up too early. it's about a girl's spiral into depression and insecurity after meeting a manipulative popular girl, and the acting is very impressive as well as the costume design. personally, i'm not a huge fan of this movie because it feels like i'm watching a PSA rather than an actual film. it really focuses on the message of the film above…
