  Chiaramente debitore di George Romero. Un Romero apocrifo, se vogliamo. Scava nell’orrore del conformismo che paralizza i sentimenti, rende insensibili (anche al dolore), finisce per divorare l’uomo. La tensione si alimenta nello scontro tra un’umanità zombificata e l’arte, incarnata dal padre pittore, unico baluardo contro l’inerzia della massa. In questa danza macabra, la follia è l’unica fuga. Ma, ormai, viviamo tutti a Point Dune…

  The film deconstructs the dark myth of the Joker, portraying him not only as a victim of the system, but even more of the anti-system. Populism has failed, and any trace of pauperism is gone. It puts the previous film on trial, but without offering any real new insights. The musical aspect feels like a gimmick and eventually becomes tiresome.

  La sintesi perfetta fra “The Wolf of Wall Street” e “Fratello sole sorella luna”, fra una postulazione di causa di beatificazione e un advertisement. “Il giovane Ratzinger” di Boris è nulla a confronto. Meraviglioso.
