The first hour felt like a chore to get through but then it picks up and became enjoyable to watch. The movie is way too long though. Also I get what it's trying to say but the messaging is too much in your face. It's almost like the movie is trying to spell it out for you. Having said that the soundtrack is top notch.

Alien: Romulus 2024
One of the better Alien movies since 1986's Aliens. It captures the best and the worst aspects of the franchise. You'll find pretty much everything in here, from the claustrophobic atmosphere of the original movie to the wacky experiment plotline of Resurraction to the black goo of Prometheus. If you're a fan of the franchise you'll eat well. But the numerous callbacks to the first Alien movie made me want to watch that again. Something I'll probably never will do with Romulus.
