  What a harmless, completely inconsequential movie. Everyone has their superhero suits on and plays their role exactly the same as ever. The jokes oftentimes fall flat, the script is uninspired and draws too much from action/adventure comedy tropes. In the end, it’s competent, but we’ve seen it all before. It exists, but it wouldn’t hurt anyone if it didn’t.

  I’ve never been a fan of biopics, especially those that rush through the main events of the life of the person in question; they just leave me thinking I could’ve read the wiki page instead. However, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain skillfully tricked me into enjoying that exact kind of movie.

  I was constantly engaged from the start, the main reason being: Benedict Cumberbatch. He has proved it, time and time again, how proficient he his in playing the “outcast”…

  The Last Forest 2021

  I’ll start by saying that wish I liked this one a bit more; it deserved it. A rich soundscape and beautiful imagery set the scene for the myths and legends of the Amazon forest, while contrasting with current, REAL problems that communities like the Yanomami have to deal with every day, one of which being the invasion of gold prospectors that tear apart the whole Amazonian ecosystem.
