Atman 1975
Movement isn’t progress. He moves back and forth going nowhere. A loop, a ritual, a haunting. Suffering doesn’t just repeat, it layers, and even more if it's something vague, like always trying to be on time but never making it, riding the tram thinking how bad person I am that I'm not even sorry.
The stupid feeling sticks
Atman as I interpret it is the self underneath the self. Not the body, but what’s left when everything else is stripped…

The Protagonists 1999
The Protagonist is full of raw energy and bold experimentation, unlike the director's polished recent work. Leaning into Lynchian surrealism, it’s chaotic, abstract, and beautiful, but too focused on aesthetics to fully engage with its characters like Guadagnino is masterfully known for.
It’s hard not to wonder how much more captivating Guadagninos modern films could be for me if he hadn’t abandoned this raw visual ambition.

Birds, Orphans and Fools 1969
I don't think I connected with a film on this level before.

a world that feels like…Translated from by
