Saw this on the off chance as challengers was showing later than thought at the Barbican. Went in with very little expectation as hadnt really heard much about this film but it really blew me away.
Such a encapsulating aura of both the film in general as well as the characters inside of it. I was glued to the screen. A drifting feel to it reminded me of the great Fellini’s work. 8 and a 1/2 in particular. The concept of the film overall was very unique and executed so beautifully, constantly diverting expectations and understanding.

This film really moved me. So wonderfully shot and paced. A mixture of influence from the great ozu and a clear love for photography made for a truly beautiful film. An amazing sound track cannot go unmentioned too. This film made me want to throw my smartphone in a lake, and also to be the best i can at whatever i do every single day. Wenders cements himself as one of the best directors around today with this one for me. Loved it.
