The Dead Don't Die 2019
I can't exactly explain it, but I about fell out of my seat laughing just seeing Adam Driver speed up to a crime scene in a red convertible smart car, take a good look at a particularly gory crime scene, and just say, "Oh, yuck."

It's not an earth shattering film by any means, but it was fun. Lots of fighting, plenty of explosions, quality CGI, which is sometimes everything I'm looking for. Dune 2021
I like a movie that knows what it is - and Dune knows. It's not a science fiction movie, even though it bears all the markings of science fiction. It's an epic, like the stories of old, and they filmed it like one.
(Seriously, if it weren't an epic, Frank Herbert wouldn't have taken so long to write the thing).
