  Are you shitting me? The same guy who directed 12 Angry Men?! It was a little too slow of a burn for me. And I didn’t think jumping perspectives like Lumet did, added anything after robbery.

  A classic PTA movie, The Master is a masterclass of performances by Philip Seymour-Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix. Also credit for Rami Malek and Jesse Plemmons for their respective roles. Amy Adam’s was also terrifying. Would love to hear Tom Cruise’s thought on the film.

  Outstanding film from a technical standpoint and great performances from Lily Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgård. If I wasn’t too scared of the world Eggers created I bet I would’ve liked this one a tad more than I already did.

  After falling in love with Drive My Car, I was eager to see what Yamaguchi would deliver next, and Evil Does Not Exist did not disappoint. His ability to capture the beauty and stillness of the wilderness is truly remarkable, creating a film that conveys so much with so little dialogue.
