Can’t tell which is worse, the 2004 boxing day tsunami that killed 200k+ people, most of which being citizens of Thailand, Indonesia and other SE Asian countries. And that the tsunami caused millions of citizens to lose their homes, their communities, their memories. Or the 2012 blockbuster hit “the impossible,” which follow the (true) story of a 5 person white family experiencing the 2004 boxing bay tsunami, who all have massive superiority complexes, and don’t long-term see the real impact of the tsunami in the thousands of communities, villages and cities in SE Asia, as they are whisked away back to wealth.
