The Umbrellas of Cherbourg 1964
The story was predictable and very similar to the one of Splendor In the Grass. I still liked it though and despite the fact that every line of dialogue is sung, it still felt like a film and not a very long music video which I fell is very difficult to pull off so applause to Jacques Demy.

I get the point, but I feel like it was told in a messy and kind of cliché way. The narration at the start was good and it made me excited for the rest of the picture, but as far as the actual rest of the picture goes, I was left with a feeling of having seen something mediocre. That said, I don’t think it was all bad, it has it’s good and it’s bad moments, but unfortunately the bad seemed to be more than the good for me.
