Gladiator II 2024
I’ll be totally honest: I watched it for Paul Mescal knowing the movie would be meh. Half star given because he’s hot. I know I know I’m so basic. It is what it is.
That said…poorly written script, minimal character development, over-use of atrocious cgi (baboons and sharks, wtf was that?). Everything just felt rushed and the plot was off.
The silver lining was Washington: Denzel is Denzel, he steals the scene.

Cannot unsee Woody Allen in Jesse’s character (aka himself).
A tour of pain.
Well written. Both characters are annoying in their own way. And both are suffering, in their own way. A friendly reminder to always respect others, you don’t know what they’re going through.
