Escape from the Planet of the Apes 1971

I love, love, love this movie.
I wasn't so excited about this one, because I knew the premise already -- essentially a mirror inverse of the first film. Here, the talking apes are the ones experiencing our society. Sounds like nothing I hadn't seen before.
But the tone of the movie, ranging from comedy to tragedy but never taking itself too seriously, lends itself to such a fun time that fully embraces its B-level plot and pulpiness. There's none of…
