  Good film. Not great. Looked amazing though some shots were out of focus. Did anyone see that? Some of the long dialogue felt drawn out. The last thing I need in my life is more old white guys talking at me. Cillian was amazing. Emily blunt was great. Everyone else was competent. 

  I would have gone with 3.75 but that wasn’t an option. So it got bumped to 4.

  The premise for the film is simple; a brother returns home for a reluctant visit with his sisters after three years. The film is not a visual masterpiece, but that’s ok, it knew exactly what it was striving for. What I did enjoy about it was the way in which the film handled the pain of characters growing up. With a million coming of age films, it’s nice to see a film makers grounded take on midlife and making amends with siblings. It’s relatable and doesn’t try to force emotions with over exaggerated ups and downs.
