a black israelite's wet dream.
i thought the first half of the movie was a 2/10 and the second half a 9/10.
a star studded cast w/ a fantastic score, and some gorgeous and creatively shot scenes. the story was complete ass tho and many of the characters' motivations were all over the place. it should not have been a 2 hour movie.
anna diop was an angel. the mothers were winning in this one, and i was waiting for the movie to pass the bechdel test but it never did lol.
