The Shape of Water 2017
Fantastic film. Del Toro is back at it again and he couldn't have done a better film. It isn't his strongest, but it's one of his best. The scenes go together seamlessly, and every scene has a purpose. When it was over, I was surprised that two hours were gone. The characters were near perfect. Michael Shannon antagonist was a little on the nose, but other than that the rest were amazing. The sets, the makeup, the story, and the acting were top notch. I hope the studios see this and let Del Toro do more of the films he wants to do.

The controversy surrounding this film is justified. Watching the screen, I could feel the people who were angry - I understand. But the message of the film is one that needs to be told.
