3 hours of a bunch of Jewish scientists arguing.
Jokes aside, the movie is a solid adaptation of the book “American Prometheus” and should be, in my opinion, considered as such — an adaptation. Of course this notion will excuse the American exceptionalism carefully veiled by the apparent American guilt for the nuclear bombing, however it will also create a larger problem — the main character of the film is less sympathetic and interesting than virtually anyone else in the film. Nolan’s greed for talent went so much that even small one liner roles are given to the prominent actors like Rami Malek.

It desperately tries to find the formula for a nice and stable children film. Time will tell if it manages to become the classic.
Chalamét’s Wonka is young and does not yet possess the queerness of Gene Wilder’s Wonka. In fact, this one strays away from the roots so much, it resembles the Depp’s attempt at the character much more.
