2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
A very slow moving film but also rather soothing in a way. Similar to dune and avatar it emphasizes special effects and visually creative shots.
I was honestly amazed at some of the shots and creativity it still holds up pretty well today and I didn’t think special effects would be this good before Star Wars. The story itself is very fun and the ending is a bit confusing but is a really cool idea.
Like most space movies and sci fi its bizarreness can steer some away from watching. Despite the slow pace I loved this film. Lots of iconic moments

What a wild ride. Is it a movie I will want to watch again? Props not. But it had some creative ideas, great dance scenes and fun comedy. Although pg idk if it’s family friendly. There really is know main message I think like the topic they strive to address it’s complicated, messy, and hard to handle and has lots of moving parts. So it’s hard to be to offended as the message of the film isn’t really clear.
