Queer 2024
I spent most of the film hoping it would end soon. Drab, disjointed writing that worsened everything I already hated about Challengers. Continuity errors that couldn’t be explained. Ripped some directing and conceptual cues from Queer films that were better executed (All of Us Strangers, Carol, Mulholland Drive, ISTTG). The Score, the Soundtrack, & the Choreography were the only worthwhile elements. Some pretty shots cannot justify its 135 min runtime.
Notice how we saw full nudes of the newcomers and one supporting actress but not the lead 🤔

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
1 minute in I whispered to myself, “I think I’m going to love this.” I’ve never before had as deeply personal of an experience as I had crying, watching this film. It could not have resonated more acutely at a time in my life as this.
Every frame is so impassioned and specific and beautifully placed in this transformative narrative. Such purposeful use of mixed media. Impeccably cast, stunningly directed, & so flawlessly emotive.
A reminder that it all just keeps going on & on.
