Great acting, but as a story it wasn't really about anything. Usually I'd chalk that up to how stories about real lives are rarely as satisfying, but the execution of it was unremarkably mid.

This movie was mid but I had fun. Bad acting, forced writing, and mostly conversations or party montages. Pretty sure it doesn’t pass the Bechdel test. There were a few infuriating cuts and I’d like to strangle the DP. Felt like the target audience was straight women. So far removed from the experience of queer men that you’d think it was written by… oh wait.
If this is NYT bestseller material, maybe I can do it too.
